High School Guest Readers!

Since our students met their reading goal of 1,500 hours by reading 1,900 hours they were surprised with high school guest readers in the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm and willingness to guest read by the high school students in town. They gave up some of their own time and it really impacted our elementary students. They enjoyed spending time with students they often see in school plays, on the field and on the court or in the band. The guest readers presented each class with a book to add to their classroom library and pencils for each student. It was a fun way to wrap up an exciting program!
