Kindergarten Explores Bears

Kindergarten used the Pebble Go Animal database to research several different types of bears. Together as a whole class we researched Black Bears. The database does a great job of being aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Students used page tabs to click and learn about the habitat, life cycle, food and size of the bears. Then in small groups students filled out a research book on Polar, Grizzly and Panda bears.
The following class students were shown how to use the Doodle Buddy app. Then with a partner they drew images of the type of bear of their choice and typed their name. These images were saved to the camera roll then posted onto a Padlet wall.
